Dofta is a fragrance collection app. This page says plainly what the app stores, where it goes, and what we never do with it.
What the app stores
- Your account. Dofta creates an anonymous account so your shelf can sync between reinstalls. You can optionally link it to Sign in with Apple. We do not ask for your email address or phone number. The name you can give your shelf is optional, and appears only on your own shelf and the cards you choose to share.
- Your collection. The bottles you add, your wear log and diary notes, your ratings, favourites, and wishlist. This is your data; the app exists to keep it for you.
- Bottle photos. Photos you take of bottles are used to show your shelf. A cleaned-up image of the bottle itself (never of you or your surroundings) may join the shared catalog so the same fragrance looks right for other collectors.
- Your contributions. Ratings, "how it smells to you" reads, performance votes, and feedback you send. Community numbers are only ever shown in aggregate.
Where it goes
Your data is stored with our database provider, Supabase. Bottle photos and fragrance names may be processed by an AI service (Anthropic) to identify the fragrance and research its published notes. Photos are used only for identification, and AI providers do not train on this data.
What we never do
- No ads, and no advertising trackers.
- We never sell your data. To anyone.
- No reading your contacts, location, or anything outside the app.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete account removes your account and everything tied to it from our servers. This is immediate and permanent.
