What is Dofta?
Dofta is a free iPhone app for tracking a fragrance collection. You photograph a bottle and Dofta identifies it, then shelves it with its notes and character. You rate what you own, log your scent of the day, and Dofta turns that history into a picture of your taste and a recap of your year.

Is Dofta free?
Yes. Dofta is free to use, and building your collection is not limited or gated. There are no ads anywhere in the app.
How does Dofta identify a fragrance from a photo?
You point the camera at a bottle. Dofta lifts the bottle out of the photo, reads the label, and matches it against its fragrance catalog. No barcode is needed, which matters because most bottles get photographed long after the box is gone.
How many fragrances are in the Dofta catalog?
Close to 2,000 fragrances ship with the app, covering mainstream and niche houses. The catalog also grows with use: when someone scans a bottle Dofta does not yet know, researching it once adds it for everyone.
Can I track how often I wear a fragrance?
Yes. Logging your scent of the day records the wear against that bottle and keeps a dated diary line. Over time that builds your wear history, your most worn bottles, and your cost per wear.
What happens if Dofta identifies a bottle incorrectly?
You can correct it. Open the bottle, choose the option to change what it was identified as, and search for the right fragrance. Your photo, your rating and your history stay attached to the bottle.
Does Dofta need an account?
No signup is required. Dofta creates an anonymous account so your shelf survives a reinstall, and you can optionally link it with Sign in with Apple. Dofta never asks for your email address or phone number.
Is my collection private?
Yes. Your shelf, your ratings and your diary are yours. Community numbers appear only in aggregate, nothing is ever sold to anyone, and there are no advertising trackers. Settings includes a delete option that removes your account and data permanently.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Dofta is currently an iPhone app, running on iOS 17 and later.
